Privacy policy
At Dear Days, our whole business is keeping things safe. That applies to your photographs and your personal details as much as it applies to the days inside your book.
This page explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at +961 70 50 68 58, and we will answer in plain language.
1. Who we are
Dear Days is operated by Hardprints registered in Lebanon
For questions about your data, contact: Email: [EMAIL] WhatsApp: +961 70 50 68 58
We are the data controller for the information described below.
2. What we collect
When you place an order Name, delivery address, phone number, email address, and the contents of your order. If you order as a gift, we also collect the recipient's name, address and phone number.
When you personalise a product Photographs, text, names, dates, dedications and any other content you upload or send us so we can design your book. Section 3 covers this in detail.
When you contact us Messages you send us on WhatsApp, Instagram, email or through the site, and our replies.
When you visit the site IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie data. This is collected automatically. See Section 10.
When you subscribe Email address, and name if you give it.
We do not ask for and do not want your ID number, date of birth, or any financial account details beyond what a payment requires.
3. Your photographs and personal content
This is the most sensitive information we hold, so we treat it separately.
What we do with it. We use the photographs, text and details you send us only to design, proof and produce your order. Nothing else.
Who sees it. Only the Dear Days team members working on your order, and — where a job requires it — our print or binding partner, who is bound to use it only for your order and to delete it afterwards.
How long we keep it. We keep your files for [90 days] after your order is delivered, so we can reprint if something is damaged in transit or you want to reorder. After that they are deleted from our working systems. If you would like them deleted sooner, ask us and we will do it.
We do not use your photographs in our marketing unless you tell us we can. No exceptions and no fine print. If we would like to share an image of your book, we will ask you directly, and you can say no without it affecting your order. Any permission you give can be withdrawn later by writing to us.
We do not sell, license, or share your content with anyone else, ever.
4. Why we use your information

5. Payment
Cash on delivery. We do not collect or hold any card or bank details. Payment is handled between you and the courier at the door.
Online payment. Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Your card details go directly to them and are never stored on our systems or seen by us. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and the last four digits.
6. WhatsApp and social media
Many of our orders and conversations happen on WhatsApp. When you message us there, your phone number, your messages, and any files you send pass through WhatsApp's own systems and are subject to their privacy terms as well as ours. The same is true of Instagram direct messages.
We keep our own record of order-related conversations for the retention periods in Section 9.
If you would rather not use WhatsApp, you can order and correspond entirely by email.
7. Who we share information with
We share only what is necessary, and only with:
- Our delivery partners — name, address, phone number, so they can reach you
- Shopify — our store platform, which hosts the site and processes orders
- Our payment provider — for online card payments only
- Our email and messaging tools — to send order updates and, if you have subscribed, marketing
- Analytics providers — see Section 10
- Print or binding partners — only when a specific job requires it, and only for that job
- Authorities — where we are legally required to
We do not sell your personal data. We do not trade or rent mailing lists.
8. Where your information goes
Dear Days operates from Lebanon. Many of our customers are abroad, and several of our service providers store data outside Lebanon, including in the European Union and the United States.
That means information you give us may be transferred to and stored in countries other than the one you live in. Where we work with providers outside your country, we rely on their contractual data protection commitments, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

11. Children
Our children's books are personalised with a child's name, and sometimes with photographs. That information is always given to us by a parent, guardian or gift-giver, not by the child.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from anyone under 18. Our site is not directed at children, and we do not market to them.

13. Security
We keep your files on access-controlled accounts, limit access to team members who need it for your order, and delete working files on the schedule in Section 9. Payment details never touch our systems.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.
14. Changes to this policy
